Well last week was not one of my best weeks 😖 I was just off all the way around. So pardon me if I just skip discussing it. Today I did my first round of intervals, 3 x 1/2 miles. I have never done interval training before so first I had to remember the rhythm 2 fast hard laps and then one easy recovery lap, three times. After a 10 minute warm up of an easy run I was off. My “hard run” was just faster than my normal pace and I could feel it, my breathing was faster and my heart rate was up. By the time I got to the last round I was talking myself to the finish, I actually felt pretty good, but my breathing was a bit labored. I know I need to run more during the week and that will help. Weeks like last week don’t help, I have to do better…No excuses I know better too.
I’ve registered for a Memorial Day 5k this weekend. I hope it is a nice weekend we have had a lot rain the last several weeks. I think this will help to keep my head in the game if you will.
